The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester is part of a National organization; BGC has more than 4,000 locations nationally with 4.6 million kids served; 4 characteristics BGCs: Dedicated youth facility, Open daily, Professional Staff, and Available/affordable for all youth

The club strives to:
- Nurture youth
- Provide a safe and healthy environment during non-school hours for all children regardless of socioeconomic status
- Instill a positive self-identity in each member of the Club
Boys & Girls Club Facts:
- Serves youth ages 6-18, regardless of socioeconomic status
- Costs $10 per year for 1800 hours of programming (the Club is open more hours during a year than the public schools)
- Serves 2300 youth annually
- Over 210 kids attend the Boys & Girls Club in Rochester each day
- 70% of Club members come from single-parent families
- 70% of Club members receive free or reduced lunch
